Who we are
Vidhar ("we", "us", "our") builds assessment infrastructure for educational institutions. Our primary product, Pinaka, is a mock exam platform used by coaching centres and colleges. This policy explains how we collect and handle personal data when you visit our website (vidhar.com) or submit a demo request through our contact form.
This policy applies to the marketing website only. Student data processing under the Pinaka platform is governed by separate Data Processing Agreements with each institution.
What we collect and why
We collect personal data only when you voluntarily submit our contact form. Each piece of data has a specific purpose:

We do not collect payment information, government IDs, or student data through this website. We do not sell, rent, or share your personal data with third parties for marketing purposes. We do not send unsolicited marketing emails.
Cookies and analytics
This website uses PostHog for privacy-focused analytics. PostHog analytics cookies are loaded only after you give explicit consent through our cookie banner. No tracking occurs before consent is granted.
If you consent to analytics, we collect anonymised usage data: pages visited, time on site, and general device type. This helps us understand which parts of the site are useful and improve the experience. We do not track you across other websites.

Data retention
Contact form submissions are retained for 12 months after your last interaction with us, or until your inquiry is resolved, whichever is later. After this period, your data is deleted. If you request deletion sooner, we will comply within 30 days.
Where your data is stored

Where data is transferred outside India, we ensure that adequate safeguards are in place as required by applicable law. We will update this list if our sub-processors change.
Children's data
This website is intended for institutional decision-makers: educators, administrators, and coaching centre owners. We do not knowingly collect personal data from individuals under 18 through this website. If you believe a minor has submitted data through our contact form, please contact us and we will delete it promptly.
Processing of student data (including minors) under the Pinaka platform is governed by separate institutional agreements with parental consent mechanisms as required by the DPDP Act.
Your rights
Under the Digital Personal Data Protection Act, 2023 (DPDP), you have the right to:
- Request access to the personal data we hold about you
- Request correction of inaccurate or incomplete data
- Request deletion of your data (right to erasure)
- Withdraw consent for future communications or analytics tracking
- Nominate another person to exercise these rights on your behalf

If you are not satisfied with our response, you have the right to file a complaint with the Data Protection Board of India. Details of the Board and the complaint process will be available at https://www.meity.gov.in.
